Earl Grey Green

The wonderful bergamot aroma of Earl Grey Green is slightly sweet. The flavor is a great combination of sweet bergamot and the slight smokiness of a gunpowder green tea. Bergamot, a citrus fruit, is rich in antioxidants. In addition to the many potential benefits of green tea, the potential benefits of bergamot may include improving digestion, lowering cholesterol, lowering blood pressure and calming our minds. Earl Grey Green Tea is named after Sir Albert Henry George Grey who was the 4th Earl of Grey and lived from 1851 to 1917. He served as Canada's Governor General from 1904 to 1911. Earl Grey Green Tea was first steeped at a tea party held in Lord Grey's honor while he was visiting Newfoundland.
