A robust green tea with a slight aroma of oak and a bold flavor which is clean and refreshing with subtle hints of oakiness. This highly prized tea's production is very labor intensive as it is rubbed and twisted by hand into its signature shape. Gunpowder tea, named due to its shape, has been around since the Tang Dynasty (AD 618-907). Side note - Gunpowder, itself, is considered one of the 4 great inventions of ancient China.
